Unit Substation RHONA

RHONA’s Unit Substations offer a compact and reliable solution that integrates a substation-type transformer or cast resin transformer with its associated switching and protection systems—both on the primary and secondary sides.

These substations are ideal for industrial and mining applications, including underground installations, and are designed for rapid deployment and enhanced operator safety. They can be connected to medium-voltage switchgear, bus ducts, protection enclosures, breakers, and disconnecting switches.

For added flexibility, the entire system can be mounted on a common skid base, allowing full transportability or direct installation on concrete slabs without requiring multiple anchoring points.

Standard Configuration Options

• Primary Input:
• Three-pole air disconnect switch (up to 40.5 kV, 1250 A), with optional fuse protection
• Vacuum or SF6 circuit breaker (up to 40.5 kV, 3150 A) with protection relays

• Transformer:
• Ratings up to 20 MVA
• Voltages up to 34.5 kV (primary and secondary)
• De-energized tap changers

• Output:
• Vacuum, air, or SF6 circuit breakers
• Or bus duct connection
